Rosemary
Armitage's towering sense of community is what endears her to so many
people.
She listens to and supports anyone who
she believes has a right and just cause and her code is to simply
do the best she can.
Her results are excellent. Rosemary possesses
a fundamental decency that shines like a beacon
Rosemary works tirelessly at her position
of Alderman on the Launceston City Council and regularly attends community
meetings, functions and fundraisers.
She is a tireless, loyal, hard working,
honest member of our community and makes a tangible difference in
her position on the Launceston City Council where she is known for
her passion, dedication and focus.
Her diary is always full, in the past weeks alone
she has assisted with a gala evening raising on the night over $50,000
for the Queensland flood victims and at Glebe Gardens for Tasmanian
flood victims and participated in the 5 Km Pink walk/ run for Breast
Cancer. Throughout the year she is seen at school dinner auctions,
concerts for Winter Relief Appeal, Empty Stocking, Clifford Craig,
ANZAC Day breakfast and events for Make a Wish, Variety Children’s
Charity and never faltering to attend her regular visits to the RSL
and Homes for the Aged and Nursing Homes!
As with her time at the Launceston Council,
Rosemary promises to continue to be available at all times, and have
an open door policy.
Her wishes for the future are to have
a vibrant, safe and economically viable city where our community has
pride in its city and a sense of belonging.
Importantly, for Launceston's sake, Rosemary
is 100% independent.
