BUSINESS NAMES (COMMONWEALTH POWERS) BILL 2011
Mrs ARMITAGE ( Launceston ) - I support the member for Murchison. I believe the debate should stand adjourned. I am not sure about the procedure here - I hope I am doing the right things.
Ms Forrest - You're being all right. Why do you believe it should be adjourned?
Mrs ARMITAGE - Absolutely.
Mr Mulder - If you're agreeing with us, you are doing the right thing.
Mrs ARMITAGE - I do not necessarily agree with the member for Apsley that we do not want to be here. I do not think that is the case at all, but we have been here since 10 o'clock this morning and I do not believe that at this time of night our minds are as clear as they can be. We are obviously tired and sometimes I think you do not make the decisions you should make, you are not saying the things you should say, when you are tired. I agree that the debate should be adjourned so that we can look at the bill clearly. I have some concerns about it. There are some parts that I agree with. I can remember a bill, concerning the national registration of medical practitioners, which caused a lot of grief and angst. I think national registration is of concern, whatever it relates to, and I hope this will come back in a timely manner so we can look at it, take our time and go through some of the issues that have been raised. I support the member for Murchison.
