Mrs Armitage (Launceston) asked the Leader of Government -

Can the government advise the current number of rehabilitation beds or slow stream beds

  • In the south of the State

  • In the north west of the State

  • In the north of the State

Answers:

There are up to 142 rehabilitation beds in the public and private sector in Tasmania. They include:

The Exposure draft of the White Paper on Delivering Safe and Sustainable Clinical Services proposes that the current rehabilitation service that the Mersey Community Hospital is upgraded from a Level 3 to a Level 4 service to provide greater support to patients across the North West, including increased rehabilitation inpatient beds.
